Editorial Synopsis

Heartland Towns

From Scone to Stirling, Perth to Kinross and Alloa to Auchterarder, the heart of Scotland is steeped in stories of the birth of a nation. Nestled between our two major cities and linking the central lowlands to the spectacular Highlands north of Perth, Scotland’s heartland is awakening again and offering a lifestyle proposition that could compete with anywhere.

Stirling and Perth both have recently been granted city status and they have ambitious plans to grow. Smaller towns such as Alloa and Auchterarder are also delivering great progress through town centre housing projects and digital connectivity.

This feature will look at how this area and these towns are attracting young families and professionals back to Scotland’s heartland.
