Clackmannanshire is home to some of Scotland’s oldest and most beautiful towers. Four impressive tower houses have survived at Alloa, Clackmannan, Dollar and Sauchie representing just a few of the great houses which once existed in Clackmannanshire.

If it is shopping you are looking for, look no further, at Tillicoultry  you will find Sterling Mills Outlet Shopping Village with a range of top brands including M&S, Gap, Nike and Trespass. Whilst there don’t forget to visit the famous Sterling Furniture landmark store for a fantastic range of household goods.

Clackmannanshire offers some of the best terrain in Scotland for outdoor activities. The Ochil Hills are perfect for mountain biking, hill running and walking with stunning views and a variety of steep or gentle sloping routes. Clackmannanshire is home to a myriad of cycle paths and routes including the national cycle ‘Route 76 Round the Forth’, Gartmorn Dam Nature Reserve or along the Devon Way. Firpark Ski Centre offers a range of snow sports throughout the year including skiing, snowboarding and blading for people of all ages and abilities.

Clackmannanshire has five of the prettiest golf courses you will find in Central Scotland and only 30 minutes from Gleneagles and the 2014 Ryder Cup! Wild natural landscape blends carefully with tended fairways to give some of the best views in Scotland.

Clackmannanshire is indelibly linked with the distinctive artwork of international sculptor Andy Scott.
