Alloa Town Centre is a bustling local centre and is the main administrative town for Clackmannanshire.  Visitors to Alloa will find a great variety of national, independent andspecialist businesses. The Town Centre hosts award winning restaurants, a selection of bars to suit all, family-owned butchers as well as all the other professional service businesses you would expect to find in a thriving town centre.

Buildings of interest include the carefully restored Alloa Tower, Scotland’s largest and oldest medieval keep, Alloa Town Hall and Library, built in 1886 – 1889, Tobias Bauchop’s House built in 1695 and the old Church of St Mungo with its graveyard and 17th century tower.

The Alloa Town Centre Business Improvement District (ATCBID) is a non-profit organisation working with over one hundred and eighty business members, all financially contributing towards ensuring that the town centre is attractive, safe, clean and that there are regular events to encourage families into the town centre.

The ATCBID delivers a host of free events throughout the town including:

  • Children’s entertainment
  • Seasonal markets
  • Wedding Show
  • Easter events
  • Christmas – Santa’s Grotto & Reindeer.

The ATCBID assist its members by being the first point of contact for any local issues affecting their business or organisation, they offer free business support and marketing, annual business improvement grants, free weekly cardboard, plastic paper and metal uplift service and cash saving utility audits.  The ATCBID is currently working on providing free WI-FI to both businesses and visitors.
